San Fran

Alright, so I went with the fam to San Francisco this past Christmas. And I still haven’t uploaded pictures yet. I ended up taking about 300 just in SF and of Alcatraz! They turned out pretty, some of them. It was really neat to go to Alcatraz, this old island that used to house some of the biggest criminals. The buildings all seem worn out and ragged but the best part of the island is that there is beautiful plant life growing all around the treacherous buildings! I was so amazed by how beautiful some of the plants and flowers were there. They were among ruins and rubble but yet they grew proud, right in the middle of the damage. Those photos ended up being my favorite ones from the trip, so I’ll post those on here for you to see. It was really great to be with family, all my nieces and nephews! I have so many now, and the numbers are still growing. :) I’m very fortunate to have such a great family. They know how to give and how to love unconditionally. I don’t acknowledge that enough.

Anyway, here are some photos from our trip. Hope you enjoy. :)

Life… is fragile, it’s precious, it’s short …enjoy it!! Smile, say hello to people you don’t know who look like they could use a friend, don’t take your friends or family for granted. Don’t worry so much over the little things, don’t fight over the little irritations of life, say I love you to the people you love. Enjoy your time where ever you are, at work, at the gym, at a friend’s house, at the library, resting at your house, in a park …just enjoy every moment.

You never know when life with throw you a huge trial and thwart all your dreams and goals. Your health is fragile. And these days there are more and more diseases, illnesses, crime, accidents, addictions, catastrophes, you name it… it’s probably here on earth. Be careful. Give support to those around you. Donate to charity when you can.

Right now, I’m hearing people all around me who are gearing up with food storage. They are very smart, you never know what could happen tomorrow. Be safe.

oh FRIENDS…

So I just had a dinner date with two of my very best friends. I don’t FULLY realize how much I miss people until I’m there with them hanging out again! That’s so stupid! I need to embrace the moments I get to spend along the way, not take them for granted!! Man, time flies. We ended up staying there about an extra hour just catching up on each other’s lives! I think we got more evil stares from the waitress than pennies loose in my purse! LOL! (There were plenty of other tables available, ma’am.) Anyway, life comes at you fast, when you least expect it, I guess. Both of my close friends have either gone through or are going to go through huge milestones in their lives, getting married!!, and it’s amazing to think back to just like 8 months ago when we were all carefree, single, loving life living together and checking out those hot boys we always spotted. I can’t even believe it - I’ve lived in this stinkin cold basement for like 5 months now! I mean, that’s crazy! I remember moving in and telling my parents, I gotta at least stick this out for a month. Just to try it out. And it’s been 5? Wow.

Anyway, it’s good to have people in your life who care about you. When they currently aren’t available or if you yourself are unintentionally “pushing” them away, life SUCKS and you think you’re all alone, that there’s no one in the entire world who cares about you at some points in time. And it’s these times, when I go home to family for vacation, when I meet with my long lost friends whom I love dearly, this is when I can see - right through my own dang eyes! - that there ARE people who care about me and who may have been thinking about me in those lonely moments but I myself refuse to believe that because I don’t think so highly of myself. Wow, just wow. I’m overwhelmed I guess. I don’t realize how much fun, life, and love that friends bring to your life, until it’s gone for a while and I’m missing it. And yeah, those awkward times can be VERY awkward, but in the end - IT’S WORTH IT, duh!!! Even I can admit that. Ga’ak! :)

Now that this sounds very much like a journal entry, I’ll cut and end it. Sorry for rambling but thanks for reading if ya did. ;) I don’t post all that often on this here blog, but when I do, it has to have been something special for me to write about it, am I right??? Lol! Okay, enough, Marci! Dang it, shut your mouth-I MEAN stop typing!!! K, later homies. Special shout out to my really good friends who I went to dinner with tonight, you girls have really got it goin on!!! :)

happy new year…

Hey everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wow 2007 went by so fast! I can’t believe it’s 2008 already! Time flies!

So I’m not ready to make new years resolutions as of yet, so can I make like Valentine’s resolutions instead?! Am I allowed? :) Haha. And I can’t seem to make myself think back over the past year to realize what it was all about. You know how you kind of say, “oh yeah 1999 was the year that… and 2001 was that year… and 2006 was the year I…” Well I can’t really say what 2007 was about. Maybe it was about my promotion in my job, I guess that’s what it’ll have to be for now. I got a pretty awesome promotion at work where I got some nice benefits to go along with it. It’s pretty interesting. I’ve learned a TON and have found new ways to enjoy my new job.

Since going home to California for my holiday vacation and not spending hardly ANY time on the computer, I noticed that staring at a computer the entire day at work is hard on my eyes and gives me headaches sometimes!! I came back and within like the first day, halfway through it, I already had a headache! And I got one the next day too, and that’s the only conclusion I can come up with. The vacation was exactly what I needed though! I needed to get AWAY from my cold, lonely basement and be with my family!!! It was so nice to see my entire family and play with all my nieces and nephews! We also went to Alcatraz the day after Christmas, that was really neat to see the history of that island! I took some great pictures! Haven’t uploaded them yet but I will sometime I’m sure! I’m always slow on uploading my photos. LOL. Well, just wanted a quick update on here so no one was complaining about me not updating it for so long. Haha! K well thanks for reading and enjoy 2008!!! :)
