…and let the juice (sssssllluuuurrrrppp) slurp through!
I successfully cut my very first watermelon with a huge knife all by myself tonight!! And then I had watermelon for dinner. No main course, no side dishes, just ya know, watermelon. It looks like I haven’t even made a dent in all the watermelon I cut into a bowl though. Sheesh!
Then I have the other half in the fridge waiting to be cut up!!
Those melons are HUGE! Also, glad I didn’t cut myself with the large knife.
I had class this morning that I went to, starting at 8:45 AM, and I waited and waited and waited for the rest of the class AND THE TEACHER to show up. Then finally the Art Dept Secretary came in our classroom to tell us our teacher has a really bad migraine and he won’t be coming in. Lame. Went to school early in the AM for nothing.
So I go home and do the usual thing – homework, duh! Then I have another class starting at 5 PM. After class gets out I walk back to my car to drive home and I had to run through the obstacle course of sprinklers just to get to the lot it was parked in. Sweet. Not just one sprinkler, THREE. Yep, and the last one was basically aiming for my face. And totally got me. So I’m soaked getting in my car and I’m thinking to myself, this isn’t even the first time this has happened. Now I need to figure out the pattern that UVU turns on their sprinklers at about 6:57 PM. Obviously they run them on Mondays (we have that established) but what other day(s)? I don’t know. Maybe I’ll find out soon enough. Lucky me.
That reminds me of the movie Napoleon Dynamite when they had all those scenes where the sprinklers were running in the background and during the producer’s dialog he mentioned those scenes were his favorite out of the entire movie.

That photo of you is hilarious. Only at Grandma and Grandpa Anderson’s house could you get ice cream, watermelon, and a doughnut all at once. Also funny about the sprinklers. It happens. Congrats on the watermelon cutting. Once you buy one it’s hard not to buy one again!
