Josh Powell: Suicide/Murder

This afternoon, Josh Powell (husband of Susan Powell who went missing in December of 2009) who is speculated to being the one who killed his wife, burned his house down in Washington, along with himself and his two young sons. His sons were taken from his custody and placed with Susan’s parents while Josh got to have supervised visits with his sons for 3 hour blocks. They came with a case worker this after, as per normal routine, the kids got out of the car and were ahead of the case worker on their way to the door. They went inside and Josh closed and locked the front door. The case worker banged on the door for him to let her in but to no avail. By the time she got back to her car and called her supervisor, she had smelled gas and called 911 as well. Moments later there was an explosion and the house caught fire. Obviously Josh had used accelerants to speed up the fire. And obviously this was pre-planned because 10 minutes before the fire Josh sent his lawyer an email saying “I’m sorry, goodbye.”

Here are some screen shot photos from the footage of the actual house fire.
