I enter the Thirty-something bracket today. Yay for birthdays. Not!

This birthday is a sad one. I reflect back on my years and wish I would have followed through with a few life changing experiences – such as finishing my bachelor’s degree or getting married and starting a family of my own. SIGH. One of these years, those will happen I’m hoping.

But today is just another day for me. And I look forward to getting my hair colored and cut tomorrow morning! So far I’m thinking red streaks. Any suggestions?

Planning A Ben 10 Party For Your Child

Author: GuestPoster

If your child is an avid fan of the Ben 10 franchise, they would perhaps like nothing more than to have a themed Ben 10 party. By throwing such a birthday treat for your child’s next big day, you can not only get your baby to have a lot of fun, but he will also be the talk of the town amongst all his friends.

Ben 10 has become a huge franchise and now you can easily find themed decorations, birthday cakes and a lot of other things that you can use to make your party more interesting. You can even get Ben 10 tableware and think up themed party games for your child’s big day.

Start with ordering the decorations to spruce up the rooms where the party will be held. You can find themed balloons, ribbons and blowouts. Add on some Ben 10 lollies to serve to the little guests and arrange for party tableware made of plastic or Styrofoam. If you are in a more generous mood, you can get Ben 10 melamine sets as well.

A lot of bakers bake special Ben 10 birthday cakes for your children. You can order a special cake a few days before the party to wow the guests and your son. As giveaway presents to your child’s friends, you can get some Ben 10 loot bags and fill them up with alien goodies – how about sweets, themed stickers or if you are feeling really generous some of the new Ben 10 Ultimate Alien toys – action figures start at around $8 each.

When it comes to games, consider things like an alien treasure hunt,  musical statues where the kids have to stop in an alien pose or even pin the tail on XLR8. Don’t forget to have some prizes for the winners. They could include Ben 10 Lego sets, pencil boxes, t shirts and any of the other hundreds of branded goods that are now available.

You can buy many of these things from a toy store but the best selection can be found online.

So Butch and I and Butch’s oldest daughter, Kaylee, went to the concert on May 25th, 2009. We got 2 free tickets from winning on the radio and we bought one ticket the night before the concert so we could all go together.

I LOVED this concert! The Sounds played first, then Paramore (and YES they sang the Twilight song – Decode!!!!! And everyone, including ME, freaked out!!!!), and then grand finale with No Doubt!!!

I screamed so much that night that I pretty much lost my voice the next day and was sore from dancing so much. :D But that’s what it’s all about, right?! I’m so glad No Doubt is back together again and I don’t care they don’t have any NEW music to perform for us yet. They still put on an AWESOME show and I love them!!

Winning No Doubt Tickets!!

Author: marci

I WON TICKETS TO GO SEE NO DOUBT LIVE IN CONCERT HERE IN UTAH ON MAY 25TH FROM THE RADIO TONIGHT!!!

My good friend, Margo, called me just after she left work to let me know of the contest going on to win tickets on the awesome radio station 101.9 The End. You had to be the 25th caller once a No Doubt song was played between 4 pm and 7 pm. Well I found a way to stream it online and was listening for a good 2 hours and at 6:04, I heard the beginning to “Don’t Speak” and I called immediately!! It took 3 calls and I WON!!

Here is the recording of my reaction to winning: Winning_No_Doubt_Tix . Mind you, I was at work, in the breakroom, trying not to be too loud, so my excitement level was stifled a bit. Sadly. I wanted to scream so bad!!!

The concert tickets aren’t even on sale for the public yet, so they don’t have my tickets for me yet. They said they’ll call me when they get them in. They go on sale this Saturday, so in 2 days.

I AM SO STOKED!!! THIS WILL MAKE MY 4TH TIME SEEING THEM IN CONCERT! :)

Yay for May

Hooray that it’s May! I love the month of May. Why, you say? Because it contains my birthday!

Wow, check out that little rhyming action. I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it. But anyway, back to May… My birthday is on the 11th and I’m going home to California to enjoy it with my sisters and mom. We’re making it a Girls’ Weekend actually! It also happens to be Mother’s Day on the 11th. So my mom and I get to share the celebration together! :)

I’m also getting psyched for all of my side projects. I’ve been slacking a bit on this website, but I plan to get it lookin’ good and up to my taste -by the end of this month, that’s the due date. And I’m making more cards lately and uploading them to my card site, so that’s cool. I had a Photo shoot to do a week ago that turned out really fun and cool. I feel like I can really do all these things, not just try. Oh, another thing I love doing is making jewelry, like necklaces and bracelets. I’m working on a sleek black necklace right now with a silver jewel in the middle. It’s going to look stunning, the beads are beautiful! Well, I’m off to live my life in this wonderful month of May. Yay!

end of january…

Author: marci
02 1st, 2008

Can you believe it’s the end of January 2008 already?! That’s insane! This month went by so fast. One of my friends told me recently that you just have to have the mentality of a 60-year old, then you won’t think time flies by and you won’t be as upset about time. :) Funny huh!? I Laughed right Out Loud! Haha.
Anyway, new years always seem to bring new things to every aspect of your life, right? There’s change going on at work. There’s change going on with friends. There’s change you have to take a look at in yourself that needs to happen soon. There’s all kinds of stuff people want to change at the change of a new year. It’s incredible. And I’ve never been all that fond of change, so these things are hard on me, and take time getting used to. It’s not that I won’t accept change, change is great usually – when I can look back on it, but when I’m in the middle of the change, it’s not so fun and worth the anxiety I get. Oh well. Gotta live right?
…oh crap, i just got carried away on the phone and STILL haven’t posted this blog! I meant to get it in while it was still January!! hmm, silly marci!

happy new year…

Author: marci
01 7th, 2008

Hey everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wow 2007 went by so fast! I can’t believe it’s 2008 already! Time flies!

So I’m not ready to make new years resolutions as of yet, so can I make like Valentine’s resolutions instead?! Am I allowed? :) Haha. And I can’t seem to make myself think back over the past year to realize what it was all about. You know how you kind of say, “oh yeah 1999 was the year that… and 2001 was that year… and 2006 was the year I…” Well I can’t really say what 2007 was about. Maybe it was about my promotion in my job, I guess that’s what it’ll have to be for now. I got a pretty awesome promotion at work where I got some nice benefits to go along with it. It’s pretty interesting. I’ve learned a TON and have found new ways to enjoy my new job.

Since going home to California for my holiday vacation and not spending hardly ANY time on the computer, I noticed that staring at a computer the entire day at work is hard on my eyes and gives me headaches sometimes!! I came back and within like the first day, halfway through it, I already had a headache! And I got one the next day too, and that’s the only conclusion I can come up with. The vacation was exactly what I needed though! I needed to get AWAY from my cold, lonely basement and be with my family!!! It was so nice to see my entire family and play with all my nieces and nephews! We also went to Alcatraz the day after Christmas, that was really neat to see the history of that island! I took some great pictures! Haven’t uploaded them yet but I will sometime I’m sure! I’m always slow on uploading my photos. LOL. Well, just wanted a quick update on here so no one was complaining about me not updating it for so long. Haha! K well thanks for reading and enjoy 2008!!! :)

it’s my half birthday…

Author: marci
11 11th, 2007

hey everyone, it’s my half birthday today, yay. alright, can you hear the sarcasm in my tone? lol. so i just barely realized that like 5 minutes ago so it’s not like i’m waiting for this day to come. anyway, i need motivation. and i’m not sure how to get it. i’ve tried numerous ways and they haven’t worked thus far. i’ll keep trying though. so yeah anyway my day-to-day schedule feels pretty mundane and boring. nothing new happening. and work gets mundane too, doing the same thing over and over, checking the same things on each website. i like my job, don’t get me wrong, but it does get monotonous. but anyway, i’ve been reading this book called There Is No Death, by Sarah Menet and it’s about her near-death experience. it’s been really interesting!!! she tells it with so many details. she actually committed suicide and tells that she could see the paramedics trying to revive her, she was watching from above the room, then she goes into a description of what she saw in the afterlife. she tells it like it just happened like last week. but it happened in the year 1979. she tells of future events that she saw. it’s really a page turner. anyway, i guess i’ll go to bed now. lol.
