Frustration

Alright. So I have constant frustration with building websites. I had to learn all by myself, and continue to learn on my own to this day. I did have a little help with setting up web hosting from my previous boss but as far as figuring every little detail out…yeah that’s all me. {insert eye rolling smiley here}

I’d like to optimize my site better, make it more readable, cleaner, simpler but all of that seems so complicated. Websites shouldn’t be this complicated, IMO. *sigh* Case in point…I just tried to update my “Yet Another Related Posts Plugin” that I have on this site to change the hover over font color to something other than white and I haven’t done that successfully.

So instead of really optimizing my website to the fullest extent, I end up leaving it with all its flaws up for the entire internet world to see. Oh well, at least I’m honest about it, right?

Constant Reminder: I am NOT perfect. I will never be perfect in this life. Get that perfectionist vibe out of my brain.

People, FYI when leaving a comment on my site, remember that I know exactly where you are! I can see where you’re located. I now have your email address. Any unwanted comments on my website will be deleted and tracked.

So, Mr. mntnman1020, I know exactly where you live in the United States of America. I can even pinpoint the exact street you live on! I would think twice before posting a not-so-friendly comment on my site.

Possibility

I applied for a mostly work-at-home job that I’m pretty excited for. They called me for an interview, which I’m completely nervous for, on Monday. So wish me luck! I hope I can snag this job and turn it into full time. It’s part-time but could work into full-time, is what they said. So we’ll see.

I’m still making cards and trying to sell them on the side. I also babysit for my brother and his wife and their 3 outgoing boys. And I’ve been looking into selling stock photography lately. I want to get into that, but I haven’t submitted anything quite yet. But the more I learn, the easier it sounds to get involved with. And now I hope to land this new job possibility. Things are lookin’ up for me finally.

New Windows

So along with fixing the hole in the bathroom, my dad found out that our house isn’t quite up to Provo zoning standards, since it was built in 1944! Duh! Anyway, he needed to put in bigger windows in the basement (one in each bedroom) so an adult-sized person can use it as a fire escape.

And here are some before pics – where my rooms look like a CRIME LAB since I covered all my stuff in plastic so it wouldn’t get dirty-dusty.

Yep, that’s my house, the two bedroom basement I live in. LOL! It looks like a crime lab, doesn’t it? I know what you were thinking. Don’t deny it!

I don’t think they are completely finished yet, but here is what they look like NOW:

I’m hoping this isn’t finished cuz they look like crap if so. Nah, but seriously these are HUGE windows!! I think we need either blinds or drapes now to cover these babies. But it’ll FINALLY let in some LIGHT into this little basement! Woohoo!
