Pink Mobile Phones: How to Evaluate

Author: GuestPoster
08 26th, 2011

guest-post
If you think that product reviews about mobile phones these days are no longer applicable to the new market entries – notably, the pink mobile phones – then perhaps it’s high time for you to evaluate these mobile phones on your own. After all, the selection process for the top pink cell phone that can best fit your personality and your own mobile phone requirements has always been subjective.

If you are hoping to find the right pink phone model among the many cheap pink phones, here are some of the most important aspects that can help you in your own evaluation -

o Ease of use. Ease of use depends on many factors but primarily it focuses on the convenience to access the basic features and functions of your phone. The user should be able to navigate the most important functions like messaging, web browsing, camera, call features, etc. with ease.

o Messaging features. Mobile phones are made for communication and texting is one of the most important forms of communication in mobile phones. The user should find messaging features without hassles.

o Battery life. Battery life is very crucial in mobile phones because these are electronic gadgets that are defined by their mobility and portability. Even if you’re in an off-grid place, network signals should be more or less present.

o PC compatibility. For high end brands, you can easily synchronize all your files, appointments in calendars, contacts and documents if it’s compatible with any PC.

Other features like Bluetooth, document editing, speakerphones, voice mails, media player, memory card and many others should be considered as well.

Pink mobile phones are challenging to assess and evaluate mainly because the ergonomic design of this particular type / style of phone puts an equal emphasis on form and function. This means that additional eye of assessment shall be given to the exterior style and ergonomic design of the phone itself, unlike other mobile phone units that are evaluated best in their integrated mobile phone features and technical specifications.

Keeping Your Kids Fit and Entertained at the Same Time

Keeping your children healthy can be a challenge but there are some ideas that will tend to work better than most, and there are some useful tips to get them fitter listed below.  These ideas are a broad selection, some cost money, and some are free – but they are guaranteed to get your kids more active.

Outdoor Geocaching with GPS Devices

This is a little known past time, but is in essence a digital 21st century treasure hunt using modern GPS outdoor handheld systems.  Garmin are the leading GPS manufacturer so all you need to do is buy one of their devices and then head over to one of the many Open Caching and Geocaching websites online – which is where you find details on the hidden caches for you to get outdoors and discover.  This activity is good for kids because it combines technology with outdoor pursuits and looking for hidden treasure – they should love it.

Watching TV whilst Using an Exercise Bike

It might be a struggle to get the kids to stop watching TV, but if they’re that determined and you want them indoors for the afternoon then you should consider purchasing an exercise bike and setting it up in your living room or lounge.  Some of the cheaper models are York exercise bikes, and these models all come with magazine racks on the handlebars – so you could even get them to read a favourite book whilst pedalling instead of the TV.  Typically you can buy exercise bikes for less than $200 US Dollars or just over £100 GBP – which given the fitness value that they offer is not a bad price when considered.

Alternative options to exercise bikes include treadmills and walking machines but these do tend to require a heavier investment.  Ultimately though, it would be preferable to have the kids getting fitter out in the fresh air so if you do select any option try and ensure that it can be taken outdoors as well.

I promise I’m not vain. I just had to share some of my favorite photos of me over the years.

I guess I dressed up as a kitty for Halloween.

This was taken at my Grandpa & Grandma’s house in Boise area, Idaho. They had this awesome tire swing that we used to have so much fun playing in.

World of Color at Disney’s California Adventure Park Delights

The “World of Color” show which plays nightly at the California Adventure park (adjacent to Disneyland) recently celebrated its first anniversary. It has proven to be a super-popular show, delighting the thousands of people who attend and view the 25-minute shows.

The show is a “light and water spectacular” composed of 1,200 programmable water jets coupled with music, lighting, projections, lasers and a host of Disney animations and characters from historic Disney films and recent Pixar hits.

Several Disneyland Resort packages include entrance to the park and a close-up “seat” at one of the nightly shows. The show occurs on a football-field-sized raft in the middle of Paradise Bay, and it can also be seen from some upper-floor rooms of Disney’s Grand California Hotel & Spa hotel. Disneyland Hotel is too far away to get a good view, however, as are all the area’s off-resort hotels.

The fountains were programmed under the direction of Josh Horner, a famous choreographer. He used the new technical abilities to not only change the height of the water but also the direction and the width of the stream to create the illusion of dancing. Add to that the illumination of the water from below, from inside the stream and from spotlights, and the color and vibrancy of the celebration is very intense.

Disney has a long history with color technologies. The story told by the show includes Walt Disney’s early fascination and pioneering use of color in feature-length, animated movies, starting with ‘Fantasia’ and ‘Snow White’ back before World War II. You may also remember the “Wonderful World of Color,” one of the first color TV shows to appear on 1960′s televisions.

The lighting effects are coupled with music and homages to some of the famous Disney characters in a way that creates memorable and often emotional responses. No wonder it is so popular!

Fave Photo Fridays – Concerts

Years ago I used to go to many concerts and I always tried to snap photos from those glorious concerts. Here are some of my memories. Don’t judge the photo quality as I wasn’t able to bring in a nice camera so these were always taken from my camera phone. Lol!

I think this was when I saw Panic At The Disco. This was one of my favorite EVER concerts!! It was a packed tight venue and everyone there were able to recite their songs.

This is Muse, another favorite concert EVER of mine. I LOVE their music and could probably sing every single song they performed! *My friend took this photo and I guess I only got the thumbnail version. Bummer.*

This is from a Taking Back Sunday concert. They were great as well.

Great Toys for Kids

I bought my children aged fourteen and nine a couple of great gifts last week that I loved so much I have been thinking of getting myself one each as well. For my nine year old I got a a set of four Angry Birds Soft Toys. Angry Birds is one of the most popular games that people play these days on the phones of any kind and my little one has an iPod touch that she plays Angry Birds on all the time and recently she begged me to buy a copy of it for her Macintosh as well.

You can imagine how thrilled she was to receive four of those cute little birds in real life. Angry Birds Soft Toys make a great gift I think for people of any age and not just young children because even if they are not addicted to the popular game that has sold millions of copies they can still appreciate the cute little birds themselves. Even though I do not consider myself a gamer in the least I can not even begin to imagine how many hours I have wasted putting the little birds in sling shots and catapulting them at the little grunting pigs.

For my fourteen year old I got what I thought was more of a brain teaser but it is also a really fun little thing just to play around with. Magnet Balls for teenagers or people of any age except small children are also a perfect gift as not only are they very cool to play with they can teach you a lot about shapes and structures. The pack I bought had more than two hundred tiny magnetised balls and the possibilities as my son soon discovered were endless. You could stretch them out into a line, you could make a loop with them and wear it around your neck and pretty much any shape you thought of. The boundaries were only the limits of your imagination.

Sponge Bob Bedding: Transform Your Child’s Room into Bikini Bottom

Author: GuestPoster

If you ask most of today’s children “Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?” they will answer right back with a shout of “Sponge Bob Square Pants!” Sponge Bob is a highly popular cartoon character who lives under the sea in a town called Bikini Bottom. You can keep the adventure going by decorating your child’s room with Sponge Bob bedding and accessories.

There are many bedding ensembles available in the Sponge Bob motif, and these include sheet sets, blankets, throws, comforters, and pillowcases. There are also Sponge Bob lamp shades and drapes, everything you need to create an underwater atmosphere for your little ones.

This bedding comes in bright, cheerful colors and even glow in the dark sheets. All of your child’s favorite characters are there, from Gary the Snail and Squidward to Patrick and Sponge Bob himself.

Sponge Bob bedding comes in several different sizes. Toddler and twin sized sheets and other bedding are probably the most readily available sizes. You can also decorate the bed further with pillow cases and pillow shams or a throw blanket. These are mostly machine washable so any spills or accidents can be cleaned up with little problem.

After you get the bedding taken care of, your child may want to extend the decorating to posters and other wall hangings and you may find that even the bathroom may end up becoming Sponge Bob-ified.

Sponge Bob bedding and accessories can be found at most retail stores that sell home furnishings. Due to the popularity, you may want to call ahead to the store to make sure the size or item you want is actually available. If it isn’t, they may be able to special order it for you or tell you of another store in the chain where you can find it. You can also try on line shopping. This is especially helpful if you don’t want to drive around all day searching for available Sponge Bob items. You can also find items for a nice percentage off of retail prices and many sites offer free shipping.

Wherever you find your bedding, your child will be happy to go to bed surrounded by his or her underwater friends.

Update on Pip

I had the thought to update everyone about my Russian Dwarf Hamster named Pip. I had him out the other day, in his rolly ball, and he was running around my kitchen and living room – just having the time of his life. So here is a quick video of Pip.

The video was made with my Samsung Solstice cell phone so it’s not the best quality but until I can afford something better, this will have to do. But you get the idea that my hamsters are doing fine! :) They are furry, cute animals that keep my mood up whenever I am feeling down.

I just wanted to share some cute photos I’ve snapped of my nephews lately while I’ve been babysitting them. I have such a good time with them, playing whatever they play and getting on the floor with them. And the best thing is seeing them smile.

Here is Marcus and I – a bit blurry but still a good moment.
